Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts (IRCA)
Formally began as a centre for de-addiction in 1999 with a 15-bedded facility and was upgraded to a 30-bedded facility in 2003 (25 beds for male clients and 5 for female clients in a separate ward).
Targeted Intervention (TI)
Targeted Intervention runs a Drop-in Clinic where it administers Opioid substitution therapy. The aim is to minimize the transmission of HIV/AIDS among Injecting Drug Users.
Regional Resource Training Centre (RRTC)
The National Centre for Drug Abuse Prevention serves as the apex body for training, research, and documentation in the field of alcohol and drug demand reduction.
Kamalgazi Rehabilitation Shelter
Founded in 1998 Kamalgazi Rehabilitation Centre began as a shelter to provide a secure recovery home to the poor and homeless addicts. Our mission is to enable substance users to accept and understand the addiction, especially the underlying psychosocial triggers and coping mechanisms.
Vocational Rehabilitation
As part of the “Whole Person Recovery” programme, a screen-printing unit was set up in 1998, to provide vocational training to recovering users. Initial funds from International Labour Organization and European Commission enabled us to purchase equipment.
